Local writing history
Drafts, rewrites and feedback are saved in this browser’s local storage, not our cloud. The document editor saves its own local draft, which you can clear on the History page. You can view and clear them on the History page. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to read them. Clearing browser storage or using a different browser removes access to that local history.
Model processing
When you generate, the current source and optional feedback are sent to DeepSeek for processing. In the document editor, the surrounding document is also sent as context when you rewrite a selection. They are not stored in our application database or logs. DeepSeek processes requests under its own terms. Please avoid submitting secrets or sensitive personal data.
Accounts and allowances
We store account details, verified sessions and usage counters to provide sign-in and enforce allowances. Guest access uses a signed cookie and a daily hashed network identifier to limit abuse. These records contain no writing history.
Age and responsible use
We do not request a birth date or perform age verification at registration. If you are a minor, seek guidance from a parent or guardian and follow the laws that apply to you.
Optional analytics and your choices
Optional page-view analytics are off until you allow them in Analytics preferences. You can reject or withdraw consent using the footer button. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. When configured and allowed, Google Analytics and OpenPanel receive sanitized page events through our server, without forwarding your IP address, browser user agent or account identity. Google events use a fresh random identifier per page event; these reports are page counts, not reliable unique-visitor or session statistics. Advertising consent is denied. Neither integration receives drafts, rewrites, feedback, form fields, URL query strings or fragments. We do not use session replay or automatic click/form tracking. We do not load their browser scripts or set their analytics cookies. Essential server-side aggregate successful-generation and word counters still support service operations. Cloudflare processes requests for hosting and security. Your preference is saved locally for 180 days.
Fonts, email and subscriptions
Inter is served from this website, without a request to a third-party font host. We send only requested verification and sign-in emails, with no marketing content. Marketing emails and paid subscriptions are not currently offered. Free account credits do not create a subscription or recurring charge.
Editing, not instructions
Source text and feedback are treated as untrusted editing material. The model has no tools or access to account data or API keys. These measures reduce prompt-injection risk but cannot guarantee perfect model behavior. Review important facts and citations before using a rewrite.
Original expression and attribution
We improve phrasing and readability, without promising a plagiarism score or bypassing AI detectors. Keep citations for ideas and quotations that require attribution.
